**Production was due to also take place in Seaham, County Durham, but government restrictions disallowed this.

Some places that were also filmed at had weather issues, along with locals disagreeing with the idea of a war movie being filmed.

To get to the places where the scenes took place, the movie cast and crew flew by plane, drove by buses, and sometimes simply walked to the next place. Massive trucks carrying all the equipment and props followed along as well.
