Personal Reflection

The film began with an action packed battle that would have any person grasping at their seats. Steven Spielberg's use of amazingly realistic affects made me feel like I was on the battlefield. As the movie went on the plot gave hints about what was going to happen at the climax of the movie. The sequence of events as they came could not have been any more perfect and really made the movie more inspiring and dramatic. Keeping in mind that this is a movie based on a true story makes me feel that these were real people in combat who sacrificed so much. The film showed the life of soldiers that go to war, not just the fighting. It follows a closely bonded squad which was sent to bring back a fellow comrade who lost his brothers in the war. This plot might not sound very engaging at first, but the amazing film quickly proves the enormity and soberness of the story that changes the lives of those who see it.
